On March 30th, the China Standardization Conference (2023) was held in Nanjing,  the 2022 China Standard Innovation Contribution Award ceremony was held at the meeting. A total of 60 standard project awards, 5 organizational awards, and 8 Individual awards including the Lifetime Achievement Award were selected. Konfoong Materials International Co.,Ltd.(KFMI)’s project T/ZZB 0093-2016 "High-purity Titanium Sputtering Target for Integrated Circuits" was awarded the Third Prize of China Standard Innovation Contribution. This award marked the high recognition of KFMI's achievements in promoting standardization strategy through independent innovation by the national standardization regulatory authorities.

"The China Standard Innovation Contribution Award" is an authoritative award in the field of standardization in China, which established by the State Administration for Market Regulation (Standardization Administration of China) and approved by the central government, it covers all standardization fields in various national industries. This award is granted every two years to recognize organizations and individuals who have made outstanding contributions in standardization activities. Over the years, Dr. Lijun Yao (KFMI Chairman & Chief Technology Officer and the first project leader) has led KFMI to adhere to development path of "independent innovation" in the field of world's leading integrated circuit technology. He has vigorously promoted a strategy of leading standards and established a series of standardized systems for super-high purity metal sputtering target materials. Up till the present moment, KFMI has established 46 national, industry and group standards, which established a relatively complete technical specification system for domestic semiconductor target material manufacturing filed. The profound significance is that KFMI’s standards have laid the foundation for active participation in international competition in sputtering targets that made in China.
