September 11, 2024, the Beijing International Seminar on Micro-Electronics & IC WORLD Conference was held in Beijing Economic and Technological Development Zone. This conference was hosted by Zhongguancun Integrated Circuit Industry Alliance, Beijing Semiconductor Industry Association, Beijing Integrated Circuit Society, Semiconductor Technology Innovation Center (Beijing) Corporation, and SEMI China. The academic forum and the exposition were held concurrently and KFMI was invited to participate in both.

The theme of this conference was “Embracing Opportunities Together, Promoting Development Together”. Xu Xinchao, Deputy Secretary-General of Beijing Municipal Government, Yang Xiuling, Director of Beijing Municipal Commission of Development & Reform, Zhu Shaoxin, Deputy Director of the Integrated Circuit Division of the Electronic Information Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Zhang Qiang Secretary of the Party Working Committee of the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area, Kong Lei, Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee and Director of the Management Committee of the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area, Ye Tianchun, Secretary-General of China Integrated Circuit Innovation Alliance, and Wu Hanming, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, attended the opening ceremony.

As a key enterprise in integrated circuit (IC) materials, KFMI carefully curated an exhibition area displaying over one hundred product, including ultra-high purity sputtering targets for IC, core component for semiconductor equipment, CMP polishing pads and retaining rings, copper-clad ceramic substrates, and silicon carbide epitaxial wafers. Among these, core components such as CVD Showerhead and Si electrodes for etching, and domestically produced 12-inch high-purity Ti and Cu sputtering were particularly noteworthy. This exhibition not only highlights KFMI’s strong abilities in material science and precision manufacturing, but also emphasizes the company's unwavering commitment to achieving technological self-reliance and strength.

Dr. Jay Pan, KFMI’s Founding General Manager, introduced the exhibits, and engage in discussions on semiconductor process development and application, key materials, and core equipment. The extensive range of exhibits attracted many visitors, garnering enthusiastic attention from industry professionals.
